Remembering the Slovak National Uprising: A Fight for Freedom

The Slovak National Uprising (SNP) stands as a poignant symbol of resistance and determination against oppression. This pivotal event, which unfolded from August 29 to October 28, 1944, showcased the courage of the Slovak people in their fight against Nazi Germany and its puppet Slovak state.

The Backdrop of Conflict

During World War II, Slovakia found itself under the control of a collaborationist government aligned with Nazi Germany.
